As the father of a child raised in a Christian home, how should I respond to a child that professes a preference for a same sex relationship? What is my responsibility, and how do I love my child, and maintain a relationship, in spite of obvious differences? How would you respond, and react, if faced with the same situation? This book deals with some of the questions I’ve faced in my journey to understand this change, and the choice made by my child. It is written from a Christian perspective, and reflects on what God's word says about this lifestyle. Many professing Christian’s have fallen for the prevailing worldview. I’ve had my eyes opened, and turned to God’s word, His Holy Bible, to determine how I should respond. The Lord must be the ultimate authority, for a follower of Jesus Christ, and His word, our source, of comfort and hope. My prayer is that the church will turn back to God’s word for direction, and not rely on what the world has to offer, in dealing with this lifestyle.

I learned much more than just about a fathers journey. If you go to church and you hear your preacher say "we're all sinners", but you really don't understand because you think I'm pretty good overall, you should read this book. It really gets to the details of sin and God's expectations. I agree with the author 100% that our society has created their own image of "their god", that is not supported by scripture. You don't get to decide what "your god" does or doesn't do, thinks or doesn't think, or feels or doesn't feel. God's word is written, and not meant to be tweaked to your liking.Product details

An astounding slap in the face.
Too often we feel alone in these types of struggles. It takes guts and a lot of love to be real with the Christian community about our struggles as parents. This has been refreshing, insightful and encouraging. God bless Mr. Torres!

An insightful view into the mind of a father who has just been told that his daughter is gay. You can read every thought, twist and turn that his mind takes. Most people don't give this much access to their thought process. A lot of useful Bible passages are referenced. As the title says, it's a father's journey.
